A Weekend in Edinburgh

Hi Maria, How are you? I'm writing to tell you about my weekend. On Saturday I went to Edinburgh with my brother. We took the early train from Manchester. The journey was long, about three hours, but the views were beautiful. First we visited the castle. It is on a big hill in the centre of the city. We walked up the hill and it was hard work! From the top we saw the whole city and the sea. After that we had lunch in a small café. I ate fish and chips and my brother had soup. In the afternoon it rained, so we went to a museum. It was free and very interesting. In the evening we listened to music in a pub. A man played the guitar and everybody sang. On Sunday we got up late and went shopping. I bought a warm scarf because it was cold. We came home at nine o'clock. I was tired but very happy. Next month I'm going to visit you in Barcelona! Is that OK? Write soon, Laura
