A Birthday Present

Hi Grace, How are you? I went shopping with my sister last Saturday. We wanted to buy a present for our mum's birthday. First, we visited the new shopping centre near the bus station. It was bigger than the old shops in town. My sister chose a blue bag, but it was too expensive. It cost sixty pounds. Then we found a nice green bag in another shop. It was only thirty-five pounds, so we bought it. The woman at the desk put it in a box and gave us a receipt. After that, I needed new trainers for school. I tried on two pairs. The black pair was more comfortable, but the white pair was cheaper. I chose the black ones because I can wear them every day. They were forty pounds. We had lunch at a café and went home by bus. Mum must not see her present, so I put the box under my bed. Her birthday is on Friday. We are going to give her the bag after dinner. Write soon, Omar
